We had a great day out at Stockton Heath Festival. Ana’s face painting was very popular with the children and we also ran a ‘Guess the Cat’s Birthday’ competition. Both of these attractions raised over £70 which we are donating to two Warrington charities – Cat Homing and Rescue and Warrington Animal Welfare. We also sponsored the photography competition and understandably chose the theme of ‘Pets’. Thank you to everyone who entered – the standard was teriffic.

Award Nominations (Posted May 2013)

We are delighted to announce that we have received nominations in two categories of the prestigious Petplan Veterinary Awards 2013. We have been nominated for Veterinary Surgery of the Year and also Sean was nominated for Vet of the Year. The awards have been going for 14 years and are known as the ‘Oscars’ of the veterinary world. We would like to extend a massive ‘thank you’ to our clients who were instrumental in these nominations.

We must be mad but we’ve organised another Pets in the Park. This year we are moving the event to a Sunday. The date is Sunday 19th May and the venue is , as usual, Marbury park in Northwich. The dog show will be there, organised by Four Paws Pet Services and this year there will be a display by Carens K9 Dog Display team. The Well Heeled Dog Club are bringing along their Tunnel of Temptation and demonstrating the Kennel Club Dog Good Citizen Scheme. Carens K9 College will also be running a have-a -go agility area. Our big new attraction this year is a travelling zoo provided by Warrington Pets and Exotics. Lee and his team will be bringing along a variety of reptiles and mammals for you to get up close and personal with – his collection includes snakes, spiders, lizards, meerkats, prairie dogs, a tame skunk and much more. Stockley farm are bringing some baby farm animals for you to pet. We have even more stalls coming this year and as usual we have invited all the local animal charities we work with. The fun starts at 11am – see you there!
